The Jaguar I-PACE has a large driving range thanks to a large battery pack (90kWh). The car has the ability to charge 80% of its capacity (with a 100kW fast charger) within 45 minutes.

The charging speed at home is a lot slower. For the best charging result at home we advise to apply energy management, so the car can be charged with most power available, without the connection being overloaded. Together with an installer, we look for the solution that suits you the best.

I have a 1x35A main connection.*

Our advice: 1-phase 32A charging station 7.4 kW in combination with Dynamic Load Balancing. This takes the actual amount of electricity that is available into account. The Jaguar I-Pace is fully charged within 12 hours if the battery is charged at full power. To prevent power outage we advise Dynamic Load Balancing. Because this car has a large battery capacity, it is not always the case that the battery is completely drained.

These charging stations are suitable:

• KeContact P30 (set to 1-phase 32A 7.4kW)
• Alfen Eve mini 1-phase 32A 7.4kW

*In case you have a lower main connection (1x20A or 1x30A) it is possible to increase it to 1x35A free of charge. Inform about this at the network administrator.

I have a 1x40A main connection.

Our advice: 1-phase 32A charging station 7.4kW. To prevent a power outage, a limit can be set. This can be controlled dynamically (take extra costs into account if you want to use Dynamic Load balancing) or static. If the Jaguar I-Pace is being charged at full power, the battery will be full within 12 hours. If the charge capacity is limited (Static Load Balancing) at 25A, the battery will be fully charged within 16 hours.

I have a 3x25A main connection

Our advice: Both a 1-phase (32A 7.4KW) and 3-phase (32A, 22kW) charging station can be connected to this connection. In both cases, the Jaguar I-PACE will be fully charged in 16 hours at 25A. To prevent a power outage it is advised to use Dynamic Load Balancing (note extra costs for this). Do you want to be prepared for a future electric car? Then we advise to choose a 22kW charging station.

Alfen ICU Eve Mini

This Alfen ICU Eve mini is the ideal charging station for home locations, thanks to its compact size. The robust housing has the highest protection certification and gives the charging station a modern look.

  • Color display: The charging instructions are shown on the full color display.
  • No power outage: Dynamic and static load balancing possible. Dynamic load balancing takes the actual power that is available for charging the car into account. There are extra costs calculated with this because an extra meter must be installed. Alfen offers an option to order their own developed meter as an extra.
  • 24/7 support and reimbursement of costs: Including E-Flux backoffice subscription starting at €2.50 per month. Because the charging station is simlock free, it’s always possible to change to a different provider (similar to mobile phone).

KeContact P30

The KEBA charging station is delivered with 1 socket and can be mounted on a wall or separately on a pedestal. Because the power (Ampere) can be adjusted at any time, the KEBA can be connected to a 1-phase and 3-phase main connection.

  • Future-proof: The KEBA wallbox can be set to both 1-phase and 3-phase (3,7kW to 22kW). ’This creates flexibility for the future if the connection will be expanded because, for example, a heat pump is installed, or a new electric car is purchased with a higher charge capacity.
  • No power outage: Dynamic and static load balancing possible. Dynamic load balancing takes the actual power that is available for charging the car into account. There are extra costs calculated with this because an extra meter must be installed. At KEBA, this solution consists of placing a smart meter on the p1 port.

CirControl WallBox Smart

The CirControl Wallbox Smart is an ideal charging station for homes due to its compact size.

  • Charge two cars at high power at the same time: This charging station can charge two cars at high power at the same time. This makes the wallbox ideal for households with two electric cars.
  • Prevent overload: Only static load balancing is possible with the CirControl. The maximum charge capacity is set in the back office. No additional hardware is needed, but having a back office makes this a lot easier. This can be remotely changed from a distance.
  • 24/7 support and reimbursement of costs: Subscription to back office via TSG Netherlands. Because the charging station is simlock free, it’s always possible to change to a different provider (similar to mobile phone).
